microsoft wedge mouseThe holidays are here, and that means the season of gift giving has arrived. Whether you’re polishing your own wish list or are on the search for a perfect present for your co-worker, friend or family member, you can never go wrong with gadgets — and if you (or the lucky recipient) travels for work, why not consider a gift that will make the trip a little easier?

Sadly enough, none of these gadgets will instantly transport you to your destination at the touch of a button (we’re still working on that one). But in the meantime, these 5 handy travel gadgets give you the gift of convenience and portability — and after a lot of time spent on the road, those two assets are priceless. Here are a few of our favorites:

GoToob (pack of three, $16.95-$24.95): The search for the perfect travel-sized bottle in which to hold products like shampoo, lotion and conditioner is tough. Typical kits include rigid bottles that are difficult to use (and not so eye-catching, either). Enter GoToob, an aesthetically pleasing and easy-to-use travel bottle. An ultra-wide mouth makes it easy to transfer your must-have products without spilling. The squishy yet durable bottle lets you squeeze every last drop before you refill, and built-in suction cups make it easy to attach the bottle to any shower wall.

ZaggSPARQ (starts at $34.99 for a limited time): You’ll never have to worry about a drained device battery again thanks to the powerful yet portable ZaggSPARQ charger. The device holds one to four charges, depending on the model, and can easily be stashed in a pocket, purse or bag for on-the-go charging of phones, tablets and other USB-connected devices. This is an especially handy gadget if you’re headed to a conference and worried about keeping phone or tablet power throughout the event.

Microsoft Wedge Portable Mouse ($70): Plan on catching up on some work while you’re en route to your destination? Make sure you pack this sleek, portable mouse with you. A compact design saves space in cramped quarters like airplane seats. Four-way touch scrolling doesn’t compromise the user experience, giving you the ability to scroll horizontally and vertically, as well as navigate documents, web pages and more. Just check to be sure your computer has Bluetooth capability and you’re set!

ShaveTech USB-Powered Electric Shaver ($39.99): Male grooming on the go just got a lot more high-tech thanks to the ShaveTech USB-Powered Electric Shaver. The smartphone-sized razor (available in black and white) is powered by USB connectivity, so you can charge it anywhere (including with a ZaggSPARQ charger — gift set, anyone?). The razor also comes with a storage pouch and cleaning brush so you can keep your device in tip-top condition.

Belkin Wireless Dual Band Travel Router ($79.99): If you’re in need of Internet access and are sick of relying on unpredictable public WiFi hotspots, the Belkin Wireless Dual Band Travel Router might be just what you need. The portable, lightweight device lets you create a high-speed WiFi connection to privately connect your devices. Plus, dual-band performance is great if you want to watch movies or TV shows while you’re on the road.

And there you have it — a few of our favorite travel gadgets, perfect for last-minute gift giving (whether for yourself or someone else!).

Frequent travelers, we’d love to hear what other must-have gadgets you use to make your trip more productive and enjoyable. Feel free to share your favorites in the comments!
